The Festival

November, Saturday the 18th, and Sunday the 19th.

The Morgan Living River Festival is a celebration of the picturesque town of Morgan and its people, of their lifestyle, of boats, and, of course, of the scenic River Murray itself.

With various displays, food, craft, gift, clothing and wine stalls there is plenty to see and do, with games and challenges to enjoy.

Buy your tickets to the Maritime Milestone Birthday Party Dinner on Saturday the 18th of November and enjoy a twilight cocktail cruise on the PS Marion, with complimentary nibbles, and then a fabulous two course dinner at the Morgan Institute. Entertainment will be provided by the "Morgan Play Mob" followed by music to dance the night away to with the "Rhythm Cats".

The perfect opportunity for you, your friends, and family to spend time together just messing about on the river.

Come and enjoy.

Proceeds to the PS Canally Restoration & Morgan Community Projects.

Putt Putt boats were the working boats of yesteryear. A stable timber hull coupled with a reliable inboard engine were a common fishing platform for both commercial and amateur fisherman. In recent years these boats have enjoyed a resurgence with classic boat enthusiasts as a reminder of days gone by. Now used largely for recreational pleasure, they provide a leisurely day’s cruising along the river and a reason to gather.

Morgan

Proclaimed in 1878 and located on the "Great Elbow" of The Murray River, Morgan was once the home port of hundreds of paddle steamers during it's heyday as the busiest inland port in South Australia.
This history has been preserved and can be experienced in the restored Wharf Precinct, the Morgan Historic Walk, the current restoration of the paddle steamer the PS Canally, and the many beautiful historical buildings still in use today.
With two country pubs, popular local eateries, vintage, art, and craft stores, museums to visit, a beautiful river front reserve and a brand new playground for the kids, Morgan is the town in which to experience a fabulous river holiday.
